Wild Grief COVID-19 Information

Last updated January 2023

Wild Grief’s COVID-19 safety practices are informed by health guidance from governmental agencies and practices of other outdoor leadership organizations. COVID-19 is an evolving situation and our practices have changed as we gain new information or as recommendations change.

Our programs take place outside. This reduces, but does not eliminate, the risk of transmitting respiratory illnesses, including COVID-19. Wild Grief supports participants who choose to wear masks and take their own precautions.

Currently (January 2023) Wild Grief does not require vaccination or outdoor masking for guides or participants.

Wild Grief will follow any local guidance or requirements that are more restrictive than ours. In the event that there is a high community level of COVID-19, we may request that participants and guides self-test before attending an overnight program. (We will provide rapid test kits if needed.)

Please reach out to us if you have questions. If you feel ill or have symptoms, or if you recovered from COVID-19 less than 5 days ago, please stay home and let us know. We’d love to have you join us on a future outing.
