FAMILY PROGRAMS
As you and your family navigate grief, it’s important for each of you to find peers who are experiencing similar losses. Spending time with them in the natural world helps each person reflect, grieve, and heal.
At Wild Grief, we help every member of your family process the loss of someone important to you and offer gentle guidance to help you find solace, meaning, and healing as we spend time together in nature.
Hike Habit
Connect with the healing power of nature on our monthly hikes, held the fourth Sunday of each month in the South Sound area. These hikes are easy to moderate in difficulty, last about 2 hours, and are open to people of all ages.
Family Journey Camp Out
A weekend guided camp out for families who have experienced the death of someone significant in their lives. Families will have fun together on hikes and in games, connect with other grieving families, and learn skills and ways to be with each other ongoing through the loss. There will be opportunities to process grief through conversations, creative activities, and nature connection together as a family as well as in peer groups.
Family Day Hikes
Spend the day with others families who have lost a loved one while you explore the natural world and your place within it. You’ll spend 3 to 6 hours on easy to moderate trails, share stories with other participants, eat together, and reflect on your personal journey.
A hiking guide, trained in both first aid and grief support, leads each of our hikes.
